Connection from Rails app on Heroku to MS SQL DB on other server

We need help to setup a working database connection from a Ruby on Rails app running on [login to view URL] to a Microsoft SQL Server 2012 database running on a Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise 64-bit.
We have tried to setup the connection ourselves but get the error listed below.
The Rails source code is hosted on GitHub and you will get access to the repo so that you can commit necessary changes to the code.

Heroku by default support Postgres data server for free versions. Other DB connectivity can be made available via add on. MSSQL server pack is not supported by heroku rightnow. But I can give a try using heroku-buildp 更多
