Exercise Equipment Tension Hinge Design

Hello. I am looking for a mechanical engineer/mechanical designer to design a device that allows people to exercise their abdominal muscles. I envision the device consisting of a chest pad and two thigh pads separated at the waist by a hinge mechanism that allows the upper and lower pads to be draw towards each other by contracting the legs towards the chest. The hinge mechanism is also the location where the tension is provided via something along the lines of torsion springs or air pistons.
I envision the project consisting of an ideation process where I convey the specifications and we brainstorm about it. Once we have hammer out a rough design, we can then draw it up. I will then build a prototype to test the validity of the idea. Assuming that goes well, we will then formalize the design to make it production grade.
