Windows Event Log Viewer Form

A simple form that displays the contents of a Windows Event Log (ie Application log)

The event log will be on a remote computer. The user will have administrator access to the network.

It must support a custom log, not just the main ones. It must work on Win 2000 Server, 2003 and 2008 Server. (I can test these as? I have all 3)

I will be porting the form to an existing application once complete. It must be in C# (VS2008)? with XML commenting turned on. Treat Warnings as Errors must be on.

The application needs on e for with a a drop down combo with a list of the event logs and a text control to enter the server name

, then an open button and a refresh button

The event view (if grid/list)? should look and behave just like a Window 2003 event viewer. I need to be able to double cick an event and see it's details.

Basically I have a custom event log for a web service and I want to make it accessible from with a back office application.

the Event logging system in Windows changed for Vista and later. So be careful we need to support 2000/2003 as well
