Magento Store Upgrade + Maintance

I am currently using Magento ver. 1.3.2.1, I would like to have the store upgraded to 1.4.0.1.

The coder will need to do the following as part of the upgrade.

Take full backup of current install.

- Export customers, products and sales records.

- Install new magneto store.

- Ensure store theme and custom design is functioning.

- Import all customer records and products, as much as possible.

- Ensure checkout features work correct in IE7, IE8 and FireFox

There are some details to be aware of.

<BR><BR>

My current Magento store uses the "Sub Store" feature. In the new install, we will not need these features. Only the main store will be needed. In addition, there have been reports of problems with stores using custom themes when they are upgraded. Therefore it will be better to start a new install from scratch and merge in the records as much as we can. The current store also uses a custom checkout javascript. I'm very much aware that in the new version this is likely to cause problems, so we will not use install it at this time.

For the product images. If it is possible, I'd like them to remain with the same URL as they currently are. I don't know if this can be done easily, or if the fresh install with change there location. If the location does change, I can live with it, but would like the coder to attempt to have the URL paths the same (I use the product images in other sites and pull them from the server)

If the coder is able to do some image work, I'd like them to jazz up the custom theme to better present our store. I'd like them to closly follow the look and layout of this site [url removed, login to view]
