advice on IT Strategy and some Project Management

Small / Medium sized company (50 employees) in the Professional Services sector. SYDNEY BASED We need the services of a Technology Consultant 1-2 days per week (initially for 3 months) , plus provision of ongoing Consulting thereafter. This person will provide a combination of strategic guidance and tactical project management on a range of IT / Internet issues, as we initially put some client service applications on-line and then move forward with other IT initiatives. The ideal person will be currently managing their own consultancy to which they will ad this work. They will be an experienced fairly senior IT Executive with a wide knowledge of applications and architecture for small to medium-sized businesses. Other requirements: • A broad knowledge of information architecture and particularly online delivery solutions. • Ability to identify user needs and propose practical technical solutions. • A general knowledge of \"off the shelf\" solutions and vendor selection processes. • Good communication skills. • The capacity to work both at the strategic level and at a hands-on level when required. Happy to receive a generalised quote for the 1st 3 months (ie. 2 days per week) and discuss project before proceeding. More interested in getting the right skills on board, than getting the most competitive quote.
