I am not sure if this is a possibility or not, so this is why I am posting to get expert advise. We offer virtual tour service for the residential real estate market and have a databasse set up to load property information and photos. The task I am wanting to have done is to cut down on having to re-enter the property information into our database when it has already been entered onto other web sites. The task I am wanting to find out if it is possible is that if we have the property MLS# in order to pull up the information for the property on a third party web site. If certain text fields can then be populated into the fields within our admin page to populate our database. A working example for this would be to pull up these tow site with the following MLS# 6814347
[login to view URL]
The main problem with the IDX page is that a session time out typically occurs due to cookies, so the querie requires to close out the browser. This is not good ffrom a workflow standpoint, but this is the preferred site to do seaches on because the database is updated instantly. The [login to view URL] site takes up to 24 hours to update.
Once the search page pulls up the property lsiting, we then need to go to the actual property details page to pull the info we would want to populate the DB. The example page would be at: [login to view URL]
[login to view URL] (not sure if this will pull up the details page for this listing or not)
The fields needed to pull are:
Property Address
Zip Code
MLS area
MLS#
Price
School District
Bedrooms
Baths (both full and half)
Square Footage
Property remarks (usually the descriptive text on the page)
