Hello, Can I have a look on your repos please, if your repos are on github, my account is hoangnda. After that, I would like to discuss more and propose the best solution for deployment. However, the first thing to notice is, rails and nodejs can run on the same server, but different port. So if you want to point 2 domains to those 2 apps, there's should be additional config added to your server. And, respect of scalable, can you share then resources of your expected aws instance?
