A C/C++ function incrementing a string, depending on its content. For instance if right characters represent a number, the output string has to be composed by the non numeric left part plus the right number incremented by one. If right part is alphabetic, output string has to contain subsequent characters. If right character reaches the limit for letters or numbers, the string must be incremented by the first element, either digit or letter.
Examples are:
1) AP113 must become AP114
2) 119 must become 120
3) A999 must become A1000
4) XYMW must become XYMZ
5) XYMZ must become XYMZA
6) P_1.1 must become P_1.2
7) P_1.9.9 must become P_1.1.10
8) P1Z must become P1ZA
Use of MFC is possible. No STL. Preferably pure C code.
