A non-fiction English book of 150 pages is to be rewritten - the book pertains to biography, religion, history and culture. The current form is meant for academic and research purposes and the language is therefore quite complex. The new version to be produced is intended for lay readers and hence need more simple English. We will need from you: 1. Sample writings, if possible of non-fiction 2. Detail of earlier similar work undertaken 3. Approximate time required for the project 4. Rate I have yet no idea of the prices/rates and so am keeping it open-ended.

I may be over-estimating the time required, but I think 20 minutes per page might actually be an under-estimation if a lot of time is needed to look up words or consult a thesaurus for easier synonyms. I'm a published author (not 'self-published')and frequently do ghost-writing, editing, proofing and re-writes for other published authors.

As a secondary school Classical Studies teacher I have vast experience paraphrasing academic and complex work to be coherent for a less able audience. This appears to be a necessary skill for your project. Being a teacher I am very experienced in adapting the work of others to improve legibility and to be more concise whilst retaining content.
