Asterisk FreePBX voicemail to email

I have an Asterisk FreePBX install. I've been able to setup everything myself except the voicemails do not get sent to emails when this option is enabled. I've not been able to find anywhere in the GUI to set the SMTP server or any outgoing settings. I believe my server is able to send mail because I get the occasional banned IP address notification from Fail2Ban. I'm looking for a consultant/Asterisk expert to give me an hour of their time to solve this problem for me. As I'm new to Asterisk, I'd like to also have a professional available to help on occasion as I learn more about the system.
