We are a company that design infrastructure for water plants, we design in Autocad. The company as some requirements that repeats it self in every design: 1. We use Enhanced attribute block, and in each pipe we need the labels to be organised in some constant way (parametric). 2. There is information in Mtext, that needs to be turned in to an enhanced attribute block. 3. we need to do a simple calculation of one parameter + another and put it in a constant position. My understanding is that you are using repetitive piping with attributes. You want some automatic tools that make the job easier and faster. You can accomplish this by using "Smart" blocks. I can create a library using the tool palette to insert blocks. This can be used with any AutoCAD. The block would have pick options of type, size, length and anything else needed. I can also further enhance your AutoCAD system using lisp programs if need. I have done this type of work for 4 different companies.
