Article series on the challenges of being a migrant workers

I am looking for an experienced writer, who has a passion for telling a story, for people and for humour. You must have a good understanding of combining real-life stories with well researched facts and a global outlook. The series of articles will be about life as a migrant worker, the challenges of working away from friends and family, the importance of earning a salary to support them, coming to a new country with a foreign language, getting visa's etc, assimilating into a different culture, facing potential racism or xenophobia etc. Each article should have a clearly though-out topic which it covers and should convey both real statistics but also a human story. The articles need not he 'sad' so a 'funny' or 'upbeat' approach would be welcomed. The same 'story' can be told from the perspective of different migrants from different parts of the world working in different countries so a good 'global' outlook is important. Each article will be approximately 750-1000 words long at your discretion. Titles and topics will be at your discretion and agreed prior to commissioning. I would like to commission a series of 10 articles and would like your bids. The successful bid will be invite to produce 1 article which will be paid for at a rate of 1/10 of the agreed sum- if the article meets the agreed criteria we will confirm topics for the remainder and commission the entire series.
