Hello, Yes, it is absolutely possible. I will do this in wordpress, the top blogging platform which offers many advance functionalities and capacity for future extensions. I'll use an ecommerce plugin which will showcase your book as a payable download. When people will go for that, they will be forwarded to paypal site where after successfull transaction they'll be back to the download.
