Automated timetable Generation System

We want a system with following requirements: A system that automatically generate Timetable with user defined constraints and also generate Datasheet for midterm and final term exams. We want a system that can handle students in a groups,classes and at individual level for summer semester. University will offer specific courses for summer semester and student can enroll them self in subject of their choice. so we want that our system should resolve the constraints of individual students and while utilizing the available resources ie Faculty Class Rooms Labs. The main objectives of our project are: 1. The final system should able to generate time tables in completely automated way which will save a lot of time and effort of an institute administration 2. To make a timetable system generic so that I can work equally well for different School, Colleges and Universities. 3. User defined constraints handling. 4. Ease of use for user of system so that he/she can make automatic time table. 5. Focus on optimization of resources ie teachers, labs and rooms etc. 6. Provide a facility for everyone to view timetable. 7. Generate multiple useful views from time table. System should resolve these type of contraints HARD CONSTRAINTS • Class can only be assigned if room is spare. • No teacher or student have more than one class at a time. • A classroom must have enough seats to accommodate all students.
