I’m looking for potential writers for my collaborative project and am excited to hear from creative people here on Freelancer! A little about my project which I would love to have you be a part of: I’m publishing a collection of short stories in the form of an ebook about people’s previous relationships that didn’t work out for whatever reason. Thus, I’m looking for people who are excited to share a specific story with others. Each chapter is a 2,000 to 8,000 word short story written as a personal narrative by a different guest author about a previous relationship. You don’t have to use your real name for privacy, but it does have to be autobiographical. Stories don’t have to be a movie worthy plot either, just a well written story about life. Some stories have been funny, sad, happy, or none of the above as I’ve been attempting to pull stories from different genders, ages, beliefs, and backgrounds. I’m willing to allow creative interpretation, but otherwise I can send follow up info on how others have approached their stories and the general theme of the full collection. I can send you more detailed info about the book if you are at all interested. This is a budgeted book project, so the only compensation I can offer is $5 and a great five star review. I know that isn’t much, but it’s not meant to be a slap in the face or an evaluation of your specific worth. $5 just happens to be the max budgeted price for each story since it is quite a large collection. Beyond that, this a great opportunity to be part of an exciting project soon to be published, your name to appear in credits if desired. I'd love to be part of this project, however, it is not possible to charge $5 on work on freelancer. I don't know if you've ever been a freelancer on the site, but $10 US is the lowest the site lets you charge, so that the site can get it's share. Still if you can afford the extra cash I'd love to be part of this project.

Hello, When I read your proposal I thought it was the perfect oppertunity to share my story. I have been hesitant to do this, but the anonymous nature of your project is just what I have been looking for. I'm not sure if you're looking for romantic relationships or not, but I think mine is an important story for other people like me. So I am a bisexual woman, but I was raised in a very conservative family. A few years ago, I met a woman who quickly became my best friend. I fell in love with her, but I resisted very strongly because of my upbringing. In the end, I basically broke off our friendship because I kept struggling with my feelings for her. I never told her this, and I recently found out that she got married to another woman we knew back then. I have always wondered what would have happened if I was true to myself rather than my conservative upbringing. I have not had any relationships like that one again. I hope that you will give me the oppertunity to share my story.

Hello Michael, I have a story for you, I need the feedback on here! It is a sad tale though not a happy one! Sounds like a really good read, nothing like personal story to let people know they're not the only ones! Let me know if you would like the story written. One thing though, if the payment is $5 you will need to amend that in the project fees before awarding, because freelancers are charged a 10% fee on the project fee in advance. Regards, Claire.

Hello! I must say this project really pokes my curiosity. I would love to be a part of your book sir. I had a very dramatic, intense, and passionate relationship I would like to write about. It was one and a half year long and it took me ages to recover from it. Everything about it is either dramatic or funny and cheerful. I'm aware that you said your budget is 5$, but freelancer takes 5$ for every milestone below 50$ so I wrote 10$ for this project. Hope you don't mind about it. I am willing to write a free 500 words sample for you just to be sure that it fits your needs. It would be about how we met and how we hooked up. I would write a story about the longest relationship I had. It was three years long, and with a woman. I mention that so that you're aware that this means the story will be about a lesbian relationship. People would say what they saw of her was emotional abuse. She was cruel in some ways, but was a big part of my life regardless. I would pick one moment, conversation, or date we had together and write about it while showing a specific feeling that was in that moment. It may be that the feeling was cold, content, indifferent, something positive, or something negative. I don't have an exact idea in mind, but I'm confident that I could write something worth sharing.

A very handsome stranger comes to a small town to attend art school. He is different from all of the people in town. He introduces me to concepts in art which I was then unfamiliar with. My focus then was theatre we see plays I wouldn't have otherwise seen. I was in high school he made me see a life which years later I would embrace. My father was frightened by the age difference and his ideas. He threatens him to stay away from his daughter. Respecting the warning he keeps his distance from me. In a few months he moves to a larger city. A chance meeting in that city while he is a bouncer at a nightclub brings us together. He cancels one date at the last minute which sends me to a booze and drug filled evening that left lasting emotional damage. While in another coastal town we had two other chance encounters. When I emerged from a dark night of the soul I too had become the artist which he had always strove to be. And am awaiting another chance encounter.
