As a group, imagine that you are forming your own company to design, manufacture and distribute an engineered product of your own choosing. You will produce a joint report that will describe the company, your product and how you intend to run the business. Each member of the group will need to choose one of the functional roles below and produce a section of the report for that function. The functional roles available are:- Managing Director Technical Director Manufacturing Director Below is the information to be included for each part of the report. For each section, include a discussion of the rationale behind each decision (why you have decided to do it this way and the potential advantages and disadvantages of this). **Managing Director **Company name and registered address. Names and positions of board members. Type of company Structural organisation of the company. Functions to be included in the company. Your business objectives, your business strategy and your mission statement. An overview of the company product and your plans for selling and distributing this (the other functional roles will discuss this in more detail). **Technical Director **Your research and development strategy. In which technologies are you going to invest and develop and how do you propose to do this? A description of the product portfolio: product descriptions and sketches, including materials from which the products are to be manufactured. The technical processes required to design the product (e.g. design, stress, thermodynamics, etc.) The facilities required to design the product, including engineering departments, IT and other investment requirements.
