I need someone to write a script that converts a text file into rows of excel. I need you to take each line of text and take the words separated by the "|" in the line and put them into different columns. Here is an example of one of the lines. 0HONG KWANHI|801 N 2ND ST K82|BLYTHEVILLE |AR|72315-2021|ENTERGY ARKANSAS INC|Utility Deposits|10/28/2005|$50.85|10670116 If you are interested in this job, send me a sample of 100 rows so that I can see that you've done it correctly, and also that you're not doing it by hand. Thanks

Hi there, I recognize the format of the text file you're entering, and it isn't necessary to use a script at all - Excel has functionality built-in that can read this kind of file and automatically convert it to an Excel format. See my private message for more details.

You can do this task simply using the "Text to Columns" command found in the Data tab of Excel. You merely highlight the cells in one column that you wish to process (insure there are blank columns to the right of the highlighted cells), then click the Text to Columns icon. You will be prompted to specify fixed width or delimited (in your case delimited) and when you click Next, you will specify the delimiter (|) in the Other box. Click finish and the text will be separated into separate columns. Also, the delimiter will be omitted.
