Hi, Many years experience in using microcontrollers and PCB design. If you are only after one of these devices it would be sensible to just use a standard Arduino Uno or equivalent and develop the code to capture the pulses from the meter, It can be easilly enough put into a sutable enclosure with a remote sensor probe to detect the flashes. A Real Time clock would be well advised and has been included in my bid. hello i am able to design arduino that detect the pulse and it will save the reading on SD card or i can send the data to the laptop thru USB, after that i ll create excel sheet to put the reading and the date of each pulse with time for sure

Hi! I would like to do this project for you. I have read your description and the project on the link, as well as your comment on the board (which I doubt many people have by the look of the provided budgets). My bid includes hardware and shipping. I was wondering if you want to use an arduino or another development board for potential future tweaking because if that is not the case I could use a smaller chip and the whole board and project could fit in the palm of your hand. If you want the cost to be lower by following my instructions and advice on which parts to order and use we could also reach an agreement. I would in this case of course provide the custom program (modified version of the one provided on the link because we might not use the same components). i have done many projects on arduino like digital filtering, speedometer, ecg, pulse and body temperature data logger etc.

Build a complete functional energy recording module based on Arduino hooked up to a smart or similar electricity meter. Have on-board storage to SD card and possible other features ie LAN connection.

G'Day! I would base this device on ATmega microcontroller that is compatible with arduino boards (the smallest possible, since the project is not complex), program it with arduino bootloader and then using USB<->serial converter (FT231/232) program it as a standard arduino. The board itself would be powered through SMPS from Lipo battery, depending on desired size, You could use bigger or smaller packs. Data would be logged on SD card.
