Excel experience and accuracy in data handling My experience with spreadsheets comes since 30 years ago. In recent years I've been involved in financial analisys which I mainly perform by designing, filling and operating dedicated spreadsheets. In such a job I also need to handle big quantities of numbers and data that require high accuracy. As far as Engish and Skype are concerned: 1) I can speak English, maybe I will ask you to speak slowly, 2) I live in Italy, where time is GMT+1 (at present GMT+2 because of the DST), so I think we'll have to carefully schedule our calls: I can work late in the evening (night) so that we could meet in your morning time. Hi there Thanks for the opportunity to bid on your project. I think that your proposal seems relatively straightforward and I am confident that I can produce a good result for you. For starters I am fluent in English (I would certainly hope so anyway) and I live in Australia too so communication by phone is also an option. I work for an accounting firm so I am familiar with MYOB and my current work involves building various excel based VBA models. I could automate your tool completely so that all you would need to do is open your spreadsheet and click a macro enhanced button that would prompt you to locate the MYBO export file. The macro would then import the file data, sort and perform any other manual process that is currently performed manually within the workbook. You would be able to update your workbook in literally seconds any time in the month. I would be able to build separate reporting for each sales person and I could also include any other functionality that may be required such as charting and reporting. Looking at the spreadsheet, I am assuming that the import function should change the format and values of "import" sheet to "data" sheet, adding the columns and formula. I am planning 4-5 hours to complete that, including a import button that does the formatting and changing The sliding scale of commission needs a bit more clarification, i.e. whether it should remain as a calculation in the "data" sheet with additional variables to relate to tiering levels or whether that should be done after the total sales or sales per category is calculated. Possibly 2-3 hours Improve reporting, just need to understand what information you require from the reports, besides calculating the commission per person. Leave about 2-4 hours for that task. Work throughput @ 2.5 hours per day would give 4 workdays. I travel over the weekends so I could complete this in 1 work week. Regards
