Hi, I have done a lot of forecasting with various tools. And I've been a data guy for all 33 years of my career so for. I hope this qualifies me (at least at this initial stage) to look further into your project. To me the most interesting aspect of this project is the weather component. I have used weather data for many studies in Canada, particularly mean daily temperature when compared to a 30 year non-seasonally adjusted aggregate data set. But the trick here is knowing: what geography are we dealing with? Is it state level, world level, online sales, big-box store sales, etc. Some of these situations will need much more work. Getting several jurisdictions' data into a model will be even more work than I have proposed. So, I would need to see the actual data to really firm up my quote. So, please consider my quote provisional until I know a little bit more about the data set. Fraser
