AS2 Flash transition using loadClip

I have a file that I am loading in external swfs from, and everything works properly using a simple loader displays text 0-100. What I would like is to use the same functionality, but instead use a movieclip I've created as the transition screen, in place of the number loader. This needs to be is AS2, Flash 8 compatible. If you open the file, the movieclip mcTransition is what I want to use as the transition.
