Check my site

Hello I have edited the following site ([login to view URL]) with an online html editor and upon clicking save realised that several characters (notably bullet points and a few apostrophes) had become scrambled and the main background image had disappeared from all pages except the home page. I have reverted all changes I made to the code originally however this has not returned the site to how I originally had it. I am probably missing something incredibly easy however I am genuinely an idiot when it comes to web design. I am sure if you are clued up this will take about 5 mintues to sort, please help.
