Design a Single Static Web Page

I need a single web page to be done (not a website). I will show the web page to a prospective client and if the client likes the page, we can get the work for entire website. As of now this assignment is only about a single web page. The web page will be static. The page may look appealing and attractive. The client particularly likes http://www.depauw.edu. The reference site ([login to view URL]) is very vast, this client does not have so much to display on website. Anything looking similar to the reference site in terms of looks will be good enough - drop down menus, image slider, footer and center box for content of pages.
