More details will be provided before assigning the project but below is a brief. This project is for development of an interactive web application for macroeconomic, industry and company-level data in a way in which all data are interlinked and hence are amenable to drill-down, drill-up or drill-through. For example, one can start with global GDP and drill down to, let's say, profit and loss account of Reliance Industries of India or export of Dragon fruit from Vietnam. The following would be some of the features I expect. > It would have huge amounts of data starting from global economy, country-level economies of every country in the world to individual company-level data. > Apart from economic data, it would also have other data like population, emissions, crime, natural resources, land area, forest cover etc > The database needs to be scalable as data would be added continuously > The application needs to be thoroughly dynamic so as to enable me to not just add more data but also to define hyperlinks, relationships between different datasets, add or modify columns to existing tables, create new tables on the fly etc > It would also need to have a lot of data visualization like charts but also, more sophisticated ones like geo-spatial visualization > User management module to register and manage users and render paid services > Blogging feature
