Design in Flash

I am looking to create a single webpage (horizontal, parallax) that represents my personal and professional "journey" as a timeline. I am a technology consultant looking to change jobs and break into the creative industry. I am hoping to shift the focus away from "being just another suit". I was thinking of representing this "journey" as three different threads of yarn (work life, personal life and passions, each as a different colour). The timeline would start in 1986 (when I was born). The "passion" thread would start at 1997 and the third "work" thread would start in 2009. These threads would converge at certain points but ultimately are supposed to demonstrate three very separate journeys. As you scroll right, against certain years, simple 'call out' boxes would pop up next to the thread that it is related to. For example, in 1991, against the 'passions' thread, a pop up would say "Given my first Amiga PC, and so begins my fixation with technology". I will provide all of the call-outs. Looking for a simple white page with a timeline across the top and a clean Sans Serif typeset. Three threads would be red, blue, and yellow. The thread would have some depth with a soft shadow underneath. Years 2012-2015 would be the three threads converging on one another and becoming a messy ball of yarn, with three simple & straight threads emerging from 2015 and converging on a single point in 2016. The final converged point (the thread now being intertwined moves forward as a single thread) in 2016 would have the name of the agency that I am applying for - this is symbolic because I am trying to emphasise that I've finally figured out what I want to do, and that is work for that agency.
