A very simple web interface

Hello, I need a very simple user interface to be created, using JavaScript and extensive use of ExtJS. Since I'm a JavaScript novice (I'm a C++'ist), you will give me detailed instructions on: - how JavaScript developers produce and debug their source code (what is the most popular IDE, the best debugger, which browsers should I rely on, etc.) - what the heck ExtJS is - how to download and install it - why each line of your source code is written exactly this way (I mean - complex, non-obvious parts) And some other post-coding questions I may have. Now, to the details. It's an interface allowing a user to edit a list of movies. The list is defined as a simple constant in the source code (I mean it's not downloaded or SQL'ed). There are 7 columns: - Movie name - a link to _Edit_info_ - Year - Country - Studio - Release date - Category First, the script should parse the movie list: a long text string, columns are separated by tabs, rows - by \n's, then insert each row and column into the actual html table, by the way creating a link to edit the info, in the second field. There must be arrows to the right of each table header column, allowing to sort the corresponding column ascending and descending (excluding the EditInfo column, of course). Each even row should be gray, odd - white. If the list is too long, a scrollbar must appear on the right. When a user clicks a link to edit the info, a window must appear above the list, having a title "Properties - %MovieName%" with all the above fields displayed in editable form: - Movie name, Country, Studio: simple text edit field - Year editable manually, and with arrows on the right to increase/decrease it by 1 - Date as a date control - Category as a select control Also, Cancel and Save buttons are in the bottom right of the edit window. The Save button must actually save the info into the html table :) That's it. Again, extensive use of ExtJS is a must in this project. Please understand that the actual meaning of your job is to give me a jump start in JavaScript+ExtJS - not to just create that useless interface. I'm a programmer myself, so don't worry there will be not too much of dumb questions. I just need to get familiar with JS as soon as possible and want to get some help from a professional.
