Hi,
I'm an illustrator for ad agencies, video games, and comics with a combined decade's worth of experience.
How I approach a project is, the client gives me as much detail as he can on the project so I can work with as few revisions as possible, and so that I can quote my best price.
I will start by going over your project details with you, thru Skype, make initial sketches and get your approval, then work on them and have them approved per iteration as we go. I am usually online half the day, so reaching me will not be a problem. Or, we can agree to be online on certain hours.
These days I work mainly on Photoshop as it is faster to transmit updates via web. I can send you the low res jpeg images for approval and the PSD file once approved. Upon full payment, I will release the last 25% of the total number of PSDs to you. Since this is for print, the files will of course be in CMYK format for offset printing purposes.
While I put in $2,800 for my fee, that's a conservative estimate. If I feel the job is not as complicated as I am expecting it to be, I can probably lower my rate. My fee includes 2 minor revisions per image, that is, revisions on art we had already agreed upon earlier. A full revision (scrapping approved art to start from scratch) will mean adding an amount to the total fee.
Please feel free to leave a message if you have any questions.
Thank you!
