Data Nine Android App

The app will run on Android 4 Tablet, consist of a user login, resident selection and form choice controls. Have 2 main forms based on a paper form that has 31 days across the top and rows grouped into 6 or less categories. Each category has a few rows with a distinct set of drop down choices. The user only needs to see one day (column) at a time on the screen. The data captured will be stored on SQL backend. The app must be Multilingual capable. a) recomendations for choice of programming language, development environment, and reasons for that choice. The work is to include the following: b) proof-of-concept example program including i) demonstrate English & French screens ii) demonstrate deployment for different form factors (ie. 10" tablet, vs 5" hand-held) iii) complete instructions for deployment on target hardware c) discussion on how Barcode (camera?) or RFID reader might be incorporated to pick up user id d) any third-party ( non-open) components require prior approval e) applicant must supply all source code, c/w instructions for setup of the development environment
