We need to find a way to recognize numbers from photo in mobile devices via Adobe AIR. Only one font is being used, so we don't need this code to be re-teachable. Idea is that user uses our app on his mobile device (Android & iOS) -> app takes a photo from ticket and recognizes series of numbers from it. Most ideal would be if you're able to build us ANE which we can use easily with AS3. Extra points are given if you include mobile camera functionality into it. It's also ok if the recognizion part is being done in AS3. Please describe how you would make this happen and what it takes.

What you're looking at is optical character recognition. I've seen a few libraries in actionscript that actually handle this. I've used face recognition in actionscript before so this project shouldn't be too difficult from that.
