Base Class for controlling events of HID Footpedal

I need someone who is familair with USB devices (specifically HID) that can create a base c# class I'd like to merge with existing code. The functions need to recognize that a HID is present and get the number of buttons available (2 or 3). It should also create events for when each button is pressed down and/or held down. Preferrable, some small Windows Form can be included which would show each button triggered so I can test it with an existing HID footpedal. I'd like it to support WinXP, Win7/Vista, and Win8
