Therefore the main application will be installed on the main server, and users login via their Web Browser. I won’t go into great detail as to what the program will do right now, the basic outline and functions it encompasses are the following; • Four-tier user authentication system; -• Admin -• Moderator (Active Directory Authentication) -• User #1 (Active Directory Authentication) -• User #2 • Different access levels for all types of users Associating User-type #1 with User-type #2 for all users. -• Each user-type #1 has its own user-type #2. -• Moderators have the ability to add/alter data related to User #1. • User #2's view data on User #1. • Generate graphs based on SQL data • Ability to generate PDF and DOC documents on the fly based on SQL data. • Calendar; -• Public viewing (available for all users) -• Private (personal calendar which is merged with public) • Private Messaging System between users. • Public Bulletin Board (Message Board) allowing all users excluding admins to post messages. The BBS would have unlimited categories, by which any users could be elected as moderator of the board, and that is set by admins/moderators. These are the main functions of the application.
