CHAIN LETTER COLLECTION & DISTRIBUTION SITE2

I have no idea the best way to program this job so I've picked a few I thought might be used but you can let me know the best way to program this you are familliar with. My server is a Linux with latest php, mysql, and other features in the cpanel supported such as video feeds. Attatched below are the instructions in microsoft word. They are easier to read but below is basically just a copy and paste of the same thing. I always inform my favorite programmers of all our weekly jobs first! ======= DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU CAN DO THE JOB ========= Chain letter collection site First off, I don’t care what programming you want to use to do this so share with me what you are planning on using. I just picked a few I thought might be popular. My server is a Linux and setup with mysql and php amongst many other things like video drivers in the cpanel, etc. SUMMARY: A site to freely post chain letters and categorize them by members which identifies what type of letter it might be ie. Race, Religion, Politics, Military, Adult, Comedy, etc… and offer them up for free use to anyone. Adult of course would require the member to be above the age of 18 which should be determined in their membership status by asking simply, a group of age. I’d want a number of bits of information (name, age range, email, etc) asked to be a member so I could collect information in the process. All members from the admin side would be automatically added to an admin set spread sheet in Microsoft excel format so I may query it however I like (behind the scenes). On the front side, all categories including adult if over the age of 18 can be viewed and copied for use by the member. Non-Members can only view the front summary of everything within the chain letter format (can’t expand it out for full view). Now if you are a member, you can view everything and a copy button should be at the top and bottom of every chain letter that automatically copies the entire text, text format, images and video if applicable. FROM THE BEGINNING FRONT PAGE: A collection of chain letters which have been uploaded to our site is made available in short summary format. Just one picture to the left, a Title, a Quick Description of the chain letter written by the up loader, A button to upload (for members only), a button for a quick copy/page function of the text, and a simple query search to find uploads based on criteria like topic or category, key words, the most viewed letter or the most popular forwarded letter! Also, there should be a option on how many results from a query can be seen per page. Then on the front preview of each, two simple stats showing how many times each chain letter has been viewed and how many times it was forwarded throughout the world (important to read the next section regarding this). In addition, a button other than just a copy/paste button for personal emailing could be one that if clicked, would allow for unlimited email addresses to be inserted and automatically emailed out but a trickle filter would be needed to send no more than 5 at a time similar to comdev newsletter software does in order to prevent being viewed as simple spam. It should arrive with some start up text like “A friend (name of member) thought you might really like this”. The return url to our company would be automatically inserted in each newsletter. Also, as for uploading chain letters there should be a way for “clean chain letters” (those already cleaned up with no forwarding info all over it, company advertisements, other peoples email addresses, etc often seen when a chain letter is received) or a simple email address to forward all chain letters to for uploading by the admin. We will clean up all chain letters but they must go to our admin first into a section for dirty chain letters uncleaned yet and the ability for us to add them to the clean side which can be viewed by everyone publically once we have approved it. IMPORTANT IF YOU WANT TO WIN THIS BID: This is the tricky part of this simple site. Some sort of tracker ID or something needs to be created in order to track how many times it’s forwarded over and over again and not just from the first person collecting it from our site. This is where I will be looking for everyone to be talking to me in a PM about your ideas of how to do this. How do you track how many times an email has been forwarded or is it even possible? This is the part I’ll want to talk to everyone about and make sure it can be done before I’d even consider awarding a bid! ON THE FORWARDED EMAILS: On the bottom of each email have our company name and url attached. FINALLY: When looking at a chain letter, it should be URL SEO Friendly such as the majority of the title being seen in the url rather than a SID number. DO NOT BID IF YOU DON’T HAVE A SOLUTION TO HOW TO TRACK FORWARDED EMAILS OR HAVE AN IDEA OF HOW TO DO IT!
