I'm in the midst of creating a sports blog and am hoping to utilize a program/bot/web-crawler of some kind to scan a predefined list of similar websites to aggregate content and subsequently post it to my blog.?
These blog posts would not be passed off as my content as their source would clearly be listed in the post and would also serve as refering traffic drivers for the original blog from which they came (since the? "Read More" link would open up a new tab/window of the original site).
Much like an aggregation of RSS feeds, the point of this would be to give users the benefit of skimming a wide variety of news on the subjects they enjoy from the vast sites that they'd otherwise have to visit individually.?
I'm not sure if what I've described thus far is possible but if it is, we'd need it to grab a specific character limit of text for the blog summary as well as any accompanying picture (which we'd need to render as a specific uniform size when aggregated to my blog).
Any help in constructing or pointing me in the direction of currently existing software/bot/web-crawlers that can do this would be much appreciated.
Thanks, good luck!
