Access Database: Query and Reports

Update: Upon issuing the database to some of the first bidders for this project it has become apparent that the original developer put a workgroup permission on it, which means it is not possible to fully access simply by opening it. With my very limited skills I've read through some tutorials for removing this, and been able to at least access the database. We would like to expand the scope of this project to: a) remove all the permissions from it, and b) complete the work below... At my company an Access Database Application was created years ago to monitor Gauge Calibration in our factory. Having just joined the company I was surprised to find that a mechanism doesn't exist which can answer the question "how many gauges are out of date". A little digging reveals that each time a gauge is calibrated a record is created. In basic terms this has a gauge ID, an area in which the gauge is used, a date of calibration, and a date of expiry. I realise this is not the ideal way to structure the data - but we must work with what we have... What I would like to be able to do is: 1) Produce a list of all the gauges which are currently out of date (sub-divided into areas). 2) Produce a set of graphs to show how many gauges are out of calibration. This would be a bar chart with the Y axis as the number of gauges out of date, and the X axis as the week number. There would be a separate graph for each of the factory areas. These graphs would be produced weekly for factory management review. Please get in touch with any questions and I'll happily clarify further. With my very limited skills I've read through some tutorials for removing this, and been able to at least access the database. Running it through a freely downloaded database password program we've learnt his username and password. We would like to expand the scope of this project to: a) remove all the permissions from it, and b) complete the work below... Please could you advise me as to whether you have experience with work group permissions, and would be able to remove them for us? THe button on the top left of the form scrolls between them. Several bidders appear to have successfully removed permissions. Please advise if you would like to either bid for step 1 (removing the permissions) or both for both steps.
