CSS Rollover Map

I have a website, within the site is UK map divided into different areas (irregular shaped areas). When I rollover areas with UK map I want them to light up. I don't want lots of slices though. A good example of how I would like it to work is at _[login to view URL] this uses CSS. The second part is that when an area within the UK map is clicked on you are taken to a page which again shows the UK map...this time with selected area shaded....with remaining areas still with rollover feature. You can see my UK map page at <[login to view URL]> I want the blue areas to rollover to bright orange.....then the shaded areas to be light orange...as per <[login to view URL]> I can supply all graphics....and change them if you require it. I repeat I don't want it made from lots of sliced images.
