We need a site for authors from several different firms to post their research reports. Authors login and post their work in either Word, PDF or Excel format. (They fill out a form describing their report and browse to a location on their hard drive and upload the report.) Registered users login and can sort research reports several ways: by author, firm, type of report, rating, etc. When a registered user clicks a link, the report is delivered in a pop-up window in the case of a PDF. Otherwise Word or Excel is started and the document/spreadsheet appears.) The system should keep track of which reports were downloaded and by whom. Admin should be able to sort this data by firm, author, registered user, etc. A system admin should be able to add registered users, delete users, add/delete authors and firms. The admin should also be able to edit descriptive information about reports that were uploaded by the authors. The site should be able to manage registered users: 'forget your password', password reset & log users out after 10-15 minutes of inactivity. The site should be able to collect info from unregistered users, like name and address, etc so we can contact them about becoming registered users. All content should be in a secure location, so unregistered users & search engines can't find it. (You shouldn't be able to type in a URL and find the document.)SSL? Php/MySQL suggested. The site needs to be strightforward and business like. Professional graphic design. For addl info contact me.
