We currently use a program called Movi, which is a desktop conferencing program (similar to Windows Live Messenger) that opens in a web browser and allows people to communicate on the network. The advantage is that you can also use this program to dial into a VC (video conference) unit.
The problem is that the program works in a web browser (we use IE7) but if your web browser is closed and someone tries to contact you, then the person calling you receives an error message. As such, you need to have a page open all the time in case some contacts you.
What I would like is some kind of notification or pop window in the bottom right screen (similar to when to get a message in windows messenger) to notify me that someone is calling me, with details of who the person calling me is. You could then click on the pop up box which will launch the browser to begin the call.
A second option we would like would be to allow us to change our username when we open our Movi client in the browser. Currently the software takes your username based upon your windows logon. This is fine if you are at your own desk, but is no good if you are using a different pc. At the moment, there is no way of altering your username. So ideally, we would be able to specify the username we want.
I am open to suggestions on how this could be achieved. To get a better understanding of the movi client, please visit [login to view URL]
Preference will be given to those who can provide a working demonstration software concept.
I have developed a lot of similar alert Indicator softwares. It can be used to indicate any particular notification , similar to your Needs.
