Create location-based Android app from existing iPhone app

Freelancers, I have designed an iPhone application that is currently in beta. Now that I have it in final testing stages, I need the Android version developed. Without going into too many details, this app needs to monitor for location in the background without draining the battery at a rapid rate. More details will be given once the project is awarded.
