Automatic Login /Search solution

we are working on a shopping site ([login to view URL]) which lists several picked products, like item1, item2, item3, etc. for each item we want to it link to a detailed product description on [login to view URL], but Site2 requires login in order to search their products database. The link to detailed description for item1 will have an URL like [login to view URL] We want something like this to happen: When user click on Item1 on Site1. It will go to Site2 and automatically login in (we have login/password info on Site2), Site2 has a page called [login to view URL] where user put login/password to login. Then it will go to the item1's URL [login to view URL] and display the item information. Without such solution, User would have to go to Site2 login page, input the login/password, the go to the search box, Search for Item1, then come to the Item1 page. With the solution, the computer would do the above step for users, then he wouldn't have to repeat the step each time. I am planning to use PHP to develop the Site1, which is very much like a catagory. If you think you can help on the above solution, please drop a line.
