College Registrar Website Parsing

Hello, This project is to create a series of screen scraping applications, each of which will parse a given College Website. The total number of sites to be parsed will be between 100-200 sites. The total budget for the project is between $200-500(US). We are looking to create an application to screen scrape/parse a number of College Websites. In particular, we're looking to extract information from a specific area of the website (Registrar). Given the nature of the College websites, we will need a separate parsing application for each College. The applications will each parse a separate school/university. The goal of this project is to create the initial applications, and to potentially find a small handful developers that we can potentially bring on board for our startup here in the Bay Area (US). Each application will be written in either Perl/PHP/Java, and run on Linux. The app should also use XPath/XML/XQuery functionality as possible. The app will have to parse the section of the college website, and return the information as we require. Each app should extract the required information, and write the results in a comma delimited text file. We are looking to parse 100-200 schools. We are looking to pay between $200-500(US) for the entire project. We will provide you with the schools to parse should we come to an agreement. Thanks -Bruce ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
