Custom MediaWiki Extension for calling overLib

I need a custom MediaWiki extension designed to call overLIB, which is an open-source javascript library. MediaWiki is the engine that runs Wikipedia, found here: [login to view URL] Extensions for MediaWiki are programmed in PHP. The manual for extensions is found here: [login to view URL]:Extensions overLIB is found here: [login to view URL] For example, when the extension is complete, I should be able to place the following code on my wiki's pages: <span name="LOL">[[File:[login to view URL]]]</span><overlib span="LOL">This text will popup when the user hovers over the image.</overlib> As an addendum, there is already an extension out there that correctly displays tooltips. Please see: [login to view URL]:WoWItem The syntax to call this extension is <item>Sword of Slaying</item>, which creates a tooltip for the item pulled from a 3rd party website. Anyways, at the core of this extension is just some simple code that calls the overLib javascript; all you would need to do is remove all the extraneous crap from the existing code and allow input from the user to be the tooltip as opposed to using data from an external site. Easy! If necessary, I can provide access to my wiki for you so that you can easily test prototype extensions and so forth.
