Automated Twitter Posting Script PHP

Overview We require a script to automate Twitter posting. This script must use the WEB INTERFACE to post on Twitter, as the OAUTH API is insufficient for my needs. The script should be written in PHP to interface with the Twitter website directly. OAUTH is insufficient. A library (such as Zend) to assist the scraping may be helpful, but it must not use more than 64MB of memory to complete the calls and should release the memory after a function is completed unless there is reason for keeping a given session open. Assume the script will be run on a plain Ubuntu VPS instance with 512MB of available memory and standard PHP5 and associated libraries (such as Zend framework). These functions should also check whether a CAPTCHA is detected on the page, and if so, leave a placeholder for a CAPTCHA solving call to be determined later. For extensibility, the functions should map to support the high level twitter API functions. These required functions (with minimum inputs) should be as follows: Functions account_status(username, password) returns: active/suspended (binary 1=active; 0=suspended) // determine if login allowed or if account has been suspended by Twitter add_friend(username_to_add, username, password) returns: success/fail // follows a given username delete_friend(username_to_add, username, password) returns: success/fail // removes given username from followers update_status(status, username, password) returns: success/fail // posts a tweet. check for > 140 characters and truncate if needed post_retweet(tweetid, username,password) // using twitter’s retweet hook from the UI, post a RT returns: success/fail block_user(userid_to_block, username, password) returns: success/fail Deliverable should be the above functions (and associated helper functions as needed), tested and working, in PHP format, for inclusion in a master script that I run. All functions should check for global variable (or accept as parameter) for which network interface to use. Assume eth0 for default.
