I have attached an Excel visual basic script that has 95% of the functionality I am seeking.
Attached is an Excel spreadsheet (SERP [login to view URL]) - the script can be viewed in Excel's Visual Basic editor. If you open it you can see that it queries a specified website for a set of keywords and returns a numerical result based on the website's ranking for that keyword on Google.
What I would like is a modification of this script to create a custom function (i.e. =findrank) to work with the second attached spreadsheet ([login to view URL]). Column A is a URL and Column B is a Keyword. The function should take both of these inputs and return a numerical rank based on Google's search engine results.
...
So the custom function would be something like =findrank(URL,keyword) and would automatically return a dynamic result based on Google's search engine result listings. I am unable to code in Visual Basic but it appears from the functionality of the attached script that this should be very easy to modify.
Some notes:
-The attached script is defaulted to check Google's first 30 results. I'd like this to be customizable.
-The attached script is defaulted to check [login to view URL] - I'd like this to be customizable to other Google engines (i.e.: [login to view URL], [login to view URL], etc.)
Please email me with any questions, suggestions or comments.
Thanks,
Daniel
