Hello Richard, I was doing some research and came across your project and you look like a nice guy already at your wits end so before you get ripped off or have another or further bad experience, you might find the following useful. If you get excessive bids than understand how you wrote your project details were incorrect because a skilled developer can sense you are new, unaware of the internal workings and they will come by the truck loads as they will sense an easy opportunity. LAMP stands for Linux, Apache, MySql and PHP - Not - Linux, “ASP” as you have written. LAMP is only a per-configured piece of software which is meant to be installed on an OS platform (such as Windows or Linux) to make the job easier of running the end application such as PHP as PHP needs an Apache server to run even though PHP can run on both Windows on Linux, it cannot run without an Apache Server. It is a difficult and time consuming process to install all these separate pieces of softwares (Apache, PHP, mySQL) and than configure them to work with each other so a per-configured software such as LAMP which already has all these separate pieces of software in one “ball” and is also per-configured to run in conjunction with each other already. You should consult someone to select a developer for you according to your requirements and perhaps not chose yourself at this point. You are ready to pay a good amount but unfortunately, might end up getting misused and lead astray.
