M1 - I would do a quick prior art study if you are interested to look at existing solutions so that we avoid design infringement. Followed by this I would present multiple design ideas in the form of concept sketches for your evaluation. M2 - One concept is selected and modeled in 3D with dimensional accuracy and presented as 3D photo realistic rendering.
