Come join the Benetech Team and make a difference in the world! We are seeking a Community Engagement Fellow to help us expand the impact and effectiveness of our communities program, engaging customers, stakeholders, and partners throughout the United States.
Benetech already works with a robust and diverse array of communities that are critical to our success. As a Fellow, you will work closely with our Communities and Training Team to create new strategies or improve existing practices. You will also help execute these new ideas, as we are a company that gets things done, and we value the learning and impact that comes from acting on our ideas.
What is a Benetech Fellow?
Benetech has a long and storied history of engaging passionate and talented Fellows to support our mission of social change. Fellows receive a stipend and fellowships vary in length of time from a few months up to one year. They generally require 30-40 hours per week and may include benefits. The exact structure and timing of this fellowship will be determined as part of a mutual discussion with the winning candidate and the Benetech team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Grow our Community Program infrastructure, particularly in the field of education and students with disabilities
• Bring new ideas and new perspective to our community work
• Research best practices for community management and engagement
• Create new program strategies
• Execute those strategies
Potential projects may include developing strategies around engagement, retention, communication, rewards, and/or measuring impact.

• Creative thinker, able to research a new field, apply that learning and see new possibilities
• Action oriented – Envision the path from concept to strategy to execution and help make that happen
• Dreamer – someone who wants to make the world a better place and refuses to accept the status quo
• Thrives in an atmosphere of change and uncertainty, willingness to be wrong and make mistakes
Nice to Have
