My colleagues and I are currently working on building a website / web application tailored towards Realtors and Politicians that gives them a one-stop shop to design custom advertising assets such as Postcards, Flyers, Posters, Photos, etc. The website will give them complete control over branding and information and gives them an engine to generate beautifully designed assets. We are building the backend infrastructure right now in Node.js and using mostly Angular for the front-end portion. I am working the asset generation engine right now, the shopping cart, as well as the rest of the website. Deploying everything on AWS. What I do want to add as a feature is the ability for the customers to not only design their materials, but also have them printed and mailed directly from the site as well. I have explored several options on how we can get this done, but frankly I have too much on my plate at the moment to build this feature. I found several options to get this done, but I think I want to use Lob. I prefer doing as much as I can with APIs and they seem to have a pretty simple and RESTful API that you can use to integrate printing & mailing into applications. I checked out their Github and they have wrappers in PHP, Ruby, Python, Node, Java, Clojure. Their docs seem very similar to how Stripe architected their API. I don't really mind which language we use for this part. I am just looking for a really good developer to help build this functionality into the app. I prefer someone who has experience working with different APIs. A huge plus if you've actually used Lob in the past and could offer up your thoughts and feedback. Their dashboard seems pretty intuitive, so if you could check that out and see if it's usable for such a project, that would be great. I've been to several hackathons this year and Lob tends to give out a lot of $ credits to use their API, so if we go with them, we could get started for free. This project of mine is already well funded with support from various angels. If chosen, I will get in touch with you directly to share more details on the project and progress so far.

I am sure that it is very simple to work with such well documented REST API. I have never used LOB before but if you want then I can do that in the demo this way you will come to know whether I can use LOB or not. Regarding the project itself you don't have to pay me anything in advance you only pay me the 50% of the bid amount once 50% of the project is complete and the rest when the rest of the project is complete. I have MS in Information Security with research interest of Cryptography. I have implemented Cryptography algorithms in Java and C, written security solutions in J2EE and Java, have implemented datastructures in Java, and built two websites for research / proof-of-concept purposes. Additionally, ~2 years of IT experience. I have taken Graduate level courses in Cryptography and Security that dealt with analysis of Cryptographic protocols, my Masters level project involved design of a Cryptographic protocol for a specific authentication problem in three-party settings. I have done a lot of API integration for billing applications which use Mail APIs like Lob. I don't anticipate this will cost anywhere near $5000, especially if you already have a PDF that you know you need to have mailed. I prefer to work on an hourly basis @ 90/hr, but can certainly do fixed fee if i see some of your code and what needs to be done. Hourly work allows us to minimize work and if you have additional work we can work it in without revising scope etc. This should be completed in around 1-2 days depending on the exact specs.
