Batch convert WP 5.1 Files into Word Files (.docx)

Until 1995 my father used WordPerfect 5.0 and 5.1. I have a directory of his files from back then, which has many 44 folders in it with 988 files. I'd like to convert these files to Word format and keep the new files in the existing directory format (the old WordPerfect files can be right alongside the converted Word files, in the same folder). I will supply you with directory, you will return it to me with the old files and new ones in their appropriate folders. Please note that not all files are WordPerfect files. Some mixed in might be for other programs that were around then. Some appear as Word Documents because they end in ".doc" but that might be either 1) they were indeed Word documents, or 2) they are WordPerfect documents but my father used ".DOC" as a suffix (any suffix was allowed then), just so I'd know it's a "document". In other words, all files need to be tested to see if they are WordPerfect documents, even if they end in .DOC or .BAK or .LET, etc. I have attached two samples of the files I have. I don't know what they say! The one that ends in "GB" is a WordPerfect file too. Please note that these are old files, mostly of deceased people, and there is nothing of monetary value to be gained from their contents, which is why I am comfortable sending them to a stranger. However, these are still personal files (letters about love and feelings, etc.) so I ask that they be treated accordingly and erased and shredded from your drives after I have accepted and paid for the work.
