Project price includes translation plus checking in parallel against original, copy editing and proofreading by an experienced native speaker of Canadian French. This price may be subject to a discount, depending on the nature and purpose of the material. It assumes your document consists of well-written running text on a subject which is not overly technical (e.g., not a database of ocular implant parts or a compilation of biochemical analyses) and is not in the nature of advertising materials which need major adaptions for a market with a different culture. It does not include editing of any included graphics files, fact-checking or additional research. Delivery would be 10 days from confirmed contract or sooner, in Word format and conformed to your preferred stylesheet. I do not use Trados (I'm a Mac person) and do not normally use TM programs since I rarely deal with highly repetitive material or material where speed takes precedence over style. I do have several appropriate translation tools with which to make use of any supplied TM files. If desired, I could provide a Trados-compatible file of terms generated within the project but this is not included in the above price. A translation test of no more than 500 words would be acceptable. I would prefer that it be drawn from the document under discussion so I can get a sense of what this job entails.
