Create a Fresh Wordpress Theme for Tourist Info/Directory

I am looking for a custom Wordpress theme that will work with the latest version of Wordpress and be updatable. The purpose of the site is to provide beach information (static info pages) and also daily updates (conditions/weather/beach issues) I am also going to provide local businesses with the option to feature on the site in different categories, so there will be an advertising directory element to the site.
